ELOQUENTIA@HEC
Our Ambition
Enable 10,000 students to access the fundamentals of public speaking over the next five years, and support 200 high school students in intensive immersive sessions on the HEC Campus.
Convinced that a liberated and well-mastered voice can change a life, Éloïc Peyrache, Dean of HEC Paris, and Stéphane de Freitas, founder of Eloquentia, created the Eloquentia@HEC program in 2018. After a few years, Eloquentia@HEC has become the largest national public-speaking competition for high school students in France.
Each year, it brings together young people from all regions of France for an intensive immersion on the HEC Paris campus. For eight days, they learn to argue, persuade, and assert themselves, all while discovering the world of higher education and the opportunities offered by an HEC education.
For the finalists, the journey culminates on stage during a major public event held in a national performance venue.
More than just another competition, Eloquentia@HEC brings the collective joy of overcoming fears, doubts, and social barriers at a pivotal moment in students’ personal development.
For participants, their families, and their friends, there is a clear “before” and “after” Eloquentia@HEC.

at the heart of the HEC Campus
Spending a week on the HEC campus is an experience that truly marked me. Being immersed in the heart of a Grande École allowed me to imagine myself there, to believe that I belonged and to consider applying to HEC.
