Enlightening & inspiring

A campus that enlightens and inspires

In a world undergoing deep upheavals, a decline in intellectual debate, and growing distrust of science, HEC Paris is reaffirming its role as a global source of knowledge and make it freely accessible to all.

Our top priority is to uphold academic excellence by attracting the world’s best professors and investing in their research to better understand and anticipate global transformations.

Our ambition is also to turn research into a true force for action. By mobilizing our ecosystem of researchers, students, alumni, entrepreneurs, private and public partners, we seek to generate concrete responses to today’s economic, social, environmental, and technological challenges.

With the creation of its new MediaHub, HEC will have a broadcasting platform to bring knowledge into the public sphere.
Through barometers, discussion papers, podcasts, and videos, we will make our research come alive and reach everyone who wants to understand and act. Our goal: to make HEC’s voice that of research that enlightens debate, inspires decision-making, and helps society tackle the great challenges ahead.

Supporting this ambition means supporting HEC’s intellectual independence and its transformative power, to imagine and experiment freely with the solutions of tomorrow.

HEC places academic excellence at the heart of its new fundraising campaign strategy. The school will not only recruit the very best research professors to become the world’s leading institution in management, social sciences, and technology, but will also offer them a research environment that enhances their creativity and the international visibility of their scientific work.

Its ambition is to create 25 research chairs over the next five years, supported by corporate sponsors and donors who rely on HEC to train new generations, to understand the world, and to act responsibly through innovative research conducted by the best scholars in their fields.

HEC aims to place research at the center of public life and to become a place where ideas enlighten, inspire, and transform into concrete action. Through new Centers, Labs, and Initiatives, the school will develop action-oriented research programs addressing major economic and societal challenges such as the climate transition, the impact of AI on work, emerging social divides, population aging, and business strategy in times of geopolitical crises.

Starting in 2026, the new HEC Institute will become the central pillar bringing together these initiatives with all stakeholders—researchers, students, companies, public actors, and citizens—to collectively design tomorrow’s solutions for the economy and society.

Openness to the world is a major challenge for a global institution that produces cutting-edge knowledge and trains future leaders from many countries.

At a moment in history when access to reliable and scientifically robust knowledge has become essential for democracy, the global economy, and public policy, HEC has chosen to make all this knowledge accessible to the widest possible audience by creating, from 2026 onward, the DARE–HEC MediaHub.
This new platform will bring together various media formats—articles, barometers, policy papers, interviews, profiles, and podcasts—to give visibility to solutions emerging from the work of HEC researchers, Alumni, and students.

"The world is changing, and HEC Paris is helping to shape that change through the research produced by our faculty.."

Dean of Faculty Research
